Team of twelve members of M.E.S.I.S took part in the Guides Training Programme organised by Qatar Scouts and Guides and hosted by Birla Public School, Doha Qatar. The event proved to be fruitful as the Guides were given proper training and introduction to the Fundamentals of Qatar Scouts and Guides. The team from M.E.S.I.S included 10 Guides and 2 Leaders Miss Afsha Ashraf Zargar and Miss Anju C.S .As per the ritual the programme started with a prayer and proceeded with the speeches of principal Birla Public School and the dignitaries present there. The organising team included
Mr. Jassim Al Hardan – Scout Association Commissioner, Mr. Hamad Yousef Al Amri, Mr.Ahmed Khamis B Al Yousef, Mr.yacub Al Thamimi, Mr.Ganim Al Kwari, Mr.Hezam Nagi Hezam Al Masleh – Scout Activity experts, Ms. Muna Jumah Al Mansouri and Ms. Sana Sulthan – Scout Activity expert, Ms.Paramjeet Kaur Bhullar. Many schools including PAK SHAMMA SCHOOL , GALILEO SCHOOL , THE PHILIPPINES SCHOOL , MES INDIAN SCHOOL and M.E.S.I.S marked their presence in the event.The training programme concentrated on the fundamentals of Qatar Scouts and Guides which include Promise, Law, Scarf folding, Salute, and Camping equipment.
The guides have acquired knowledge and understanding of scout fundamentals through their training and educational programs.”
The training of guides has proven to be fruitful, yielding positive outcomes and successful results.
