MESIS ‘ Garangao Celebration, 2024: A Cultural Marvel

The lively spirit of Garangao was brought to life on March 21, 2024, at MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch. Children shared delight and happiness with one another while donning exquisite traditional Qatari clothing, whilst exchanging gifts and partaking in spreading joy all around.
The festivities commenced with a stunning Garangao rally, spearheaded by the principal, Mrs. Pramila Kannan, who led them with vision and determination. Her motivational speech to the youngsters set the tone for an exciting and proud cultural day.
With amazing decorations created by the students themselves, the school’s Multipurpose Hall was turned into a captivating exhibition of Qatari culture. Fun activities, face painting, henna design, and cultural presentations raised the enthusiasm factor of the festivities.
The school’s department of Qatar History demonstrated flawless coordination to guarantee smoothness at every turn and to ensure that the day was adorned with symbols of joy and tradition.
