MESIS CELEBRATES ‘WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch celebrated the WORLD NO TOBACO DAY in the school campus by organising a series of activities to educate and sensitize students on the health risks of consuming tobacco.

To commemorate the day, MESIS health club conducted a silent awareness rally in the school premises during the recess break, which was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr Mohammed Haneef. The rally was conducted by students of Grade VI and VII as they rallied throughout the school premises spreading awareness about tobacco with placards in their hands. The rally focused on educating students about the ill effects of consuming tobacco in any form and its impact on the human body.

The coordinators for the events were Ms Anu Manoj, Ms Reshmi Girish and Ms Sameena. The health club in-charges were Ms Afna and Ms Salima. In addition to this, the MESIS health club took initiative in creating an awareness video of the ill-effects of tobacco for students of Grade I to XI which was shown in each class room.
