MESIS celebrates 76th Republic Day of India

The 76th Republic Day of India was celebrated with gaiety and grandeur at MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch, on 26 January 2025. The event commenced with welcoming the esteemed guests for the day, including the regarded Chief Guest, Mr. Hazmal Ismail, General Secretary, MES Governing Board, Mr. M.C. Mohammed, Member of the MES Governing Board, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal, MES Indian School, and Mr. Mohammed Rashid, Head of Admin and Facilities.
Sinan of Grade 11-B set a peaceful tone for the day by leading the prayer, followed by a warm welcome speech by Shruti, the Deputy Head Girl of the school. The patriotic fervor warmed up the cold, windy morning as the Chief Guest unfurled the Tricolor of India, followed by the National Anthem.
Keeping the spirit of patriotism alive, the enthusiastic students honoured their nation with a soulful rendition of of a wholesome song expressing the heartfelt emotions of expatriates who remain deeply connected to their homeland.
A speech by Vamshi Krishnan, the Deputy Head Boy of the school, resonated with patriotism, while cultural programs added vibrance to the celebrations. Among them, a mesmerizing solo dance performance by Shristi Chandhirahasan served as a heartfelt tribute to the motherland, capturing the essence of pride, love, and devotion to India.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Principal, Ms. Annie Francis remarked, “India has achieved multifaceted growth in all fields. I urge you to dedicate yourselves to build a stronger and better India—an India of your dreams.”
The event concluded with vote of thanks by Abdul Hadi of 11-B. The program reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing patriotism and values.
