A felicitous day dawned bright on May 18, 2024, as MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Br, hosted its fourth Investiture Ceremony for the ongoing academic session 2024-25. Sublimity and spirituality resonated throughout the space as Zanha Fathima recited a few verses from the Holy Quran. The young, uplifted voices of the school choir seemed surcharged with positivity. The galaxy of deserving Student Council board then received badges of office by the dignitaries and were administered the oath.
The Virtuous Chief Guest, Mr. Ashraf Sharafudheen, Director of Academics, and Mr. Faisal Mayan, Director of Transportation, graced the occasion with their presence. In her speech, revered Principal Ms. Pramila Kannan defined the hallmarks of a true leader and reiterated that leaders emerge out of their responses to good and bad times. Her wise words resonated with optimism.
A highlight of the event was an enchanting Indo-Western fusion dance performed by the students of Grades 6-8. Their graceful movements and vibrant costumes captivated the audience, blending traditional and contemporary dance forms into a harmonious and captivating spectacle.
The acceptance speech of the Head Boy, Savitr Sudheer, was beautifully laced with thanksgiving and purposefulness. He thanked the school management, principal, and teachers for the trust reposed in him and pledged to serve the school honestly and to the best of his abilities. The determination to take the school to uncharted heights of glory was writ large on his face as he spoke. The Student Council 2024-25 can be truly described as a team of members with creativity, ingenious ideas, and passion to work – a veritable gold mine.
The grand Investiture Ceremony drew to a close with the Vote of Thanks by the Head Girl, Heiza Nousher, and the National Anthem.
