On October 23rd and 24th, 2024, MESIS celebrated its third annual Bloom’s Fest for Grade 1 and Grade 2, running from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Hameeda Kadar (Principal, MES Indian School), Mrs. Pramila Kannan (Principal, MESIS), and Mrs. Annie Francis (Vice Principal).
The festivities began with a formal ceremony, starting with a prayer led by Grade 3 student Mersiha, followed by a warm welcome from fellow student Nehyan. Dr. Hameeda Kadar addressed the audience on the first day, outlining the objectives of the activity day, while Mrs. Pramila Kannan spoke on the second day.
Following the formalities, parents and students explored various subject corners within the hall, including English, Math, EVS, Qatar History, ICT, GK, Art, and languages such as Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, French, Moral Studies, Islamic Studies, and Arabic. Each corner featured interactive activities designed to enhance learning, allowing students to engage with the material under the guidance of their teachers.
The event showcased the advantages of activity-based learning, focusing on multiple areas of development, including language acquisition, cognitive skills, motor development, creative expression, and socio-emotional growth. Parents appreciated the opportunity to observe their children’s educational journeys and gain insights into classroom concepts.
Overall, the successful Activity Day fostered community engagement and underscored MESIS’s commitment to holistic education and student development.
