On October 5, 2024, MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch, Doha-Qatar, hosted its highly anticipated 4th Annual Sports Meet, Infinito 2024. The event was graced by the chief guest, Mr. Badarudheen Gulam, (Director, Sports & Games, MES Governing Board), Mr. Muhamad Munseer (Athletic Coach, Shammal Sports Club), Dr. Hameeda Kadar (Principal, MES Indian School), Mrs. Pramila Kannan (Principal, MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch), and Mrs. Annie Francis (Vice Principal, MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch), where the athletic talents of students across various grades were emphasized.
The day began with a welcome address by the head boy and a captivating keynote address by the Mrs. Pramila Kannan principal MESIS, followed shortly by the coming together of the chief guest and all the dignitaries for the flag hoisting ceremony, setting a vibrant tone for the day’s events. The event encompassed an enthusiastic parade of athletes, followed by a series of competitive events, including track and field and relays. The marvels and accolades of the achievers were highlighted through a ceremonial passing of the torch, followed by an auspicious oath-taking ceremony led by the sports captain of the school. In this electric aura of true talent, the young athletes of the school indulged in an array of displays, along the lines of Silambam, coordinated drills, karate, and aerobics.
With an awards ceremony honoring top performances and Topaz House topping the chart, the day came to a close with a vote of thanks from the head girl, appreciating the effort of each participant. As the sports meet wrapped up, the sense of achievement was palpable, leaving students and families eager for next year’s event.
