5th Investiture Ceremony held at MESIS

A felicitous day dawned bright on May 17, 2025, as MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch hosted its 5th Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2025-26. The event began on a solemn note with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Mohammed Talha, setting a spiritual tone for the day.

Followed by a vibrant note with a captivating group dance performance by the school’s talented students, setting the stage with energy and celebration.

The ceremony was graced by the distinguished presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Ahamed Isham, Deputy General Secretary, and the Esteemed Guest of Honour, Mr. Faisal Mayam, Director, Transport, MES Governing Board. Their presence added dignity to the occasion as the newly elected and selected Student Council members marched forward to receive their badges of office. A solemn oath-taking ceremony followed, symbolising their commitment to responsibility and leadership.

In her inspiring speech, our revered Principal ma’am, Mrs. Pramila Kannan spoke eloquently about the hallmarks of true leadership, emphasizing that leaders are not defined by comfort but by their courage in adversity.

The Head Boy, Pragadesh Gowtham Jayarajan and Head Girl, Michelle Joanna Martin, both from XII-A, delivered speeches rich in gratitude and vision. They pledged to uphold the school’s values and lead their peers with integrity. Their poise and conviction were clearly visible, as they promised to take MESIS to greater heights.

Supporting them in leadership roles are Zayan Ahmed (Assistant Head Boy, XI-B) and Laiqa Maryam Salman (Assistant Head Girl, XI-C), alongside Alvia Aranha (Arts Secretary, XI-A), and Mohammed Bassam (Student Editor, XI-A). Vamsikrishnan Madhusudanan of XII-C will serve as the representative for the theme “My Values Define My Identity”, while Devaang Menon (XI-D) steps up as the Student Counsellor.

The sports domain is ably led by Ian Alexander Mathew (XI-D), the Sports Captain. The vibrant House system gains strength through Cristiano Hanson Joseph and Rakshnya Murugesan Suganya as Emerald House Captains, Monishraj Sekar and Minha Pariyan Thodi for Ruby House, Muhammad Aman Sayeed and Hanin El-Mutaz for Sapphire House, and Pranav Rajeev and Umaima Nadim Muqri for Topaz House.

The backbone of school discipline and peer guidance, the team of School Prefects, includes Pranav Sai Karthikeyan, Adeeb Yacoob Koiloth, Abdul Qawi Tabrazullah, Ananda Krishnan Manoj, Bilal Bin Sirajudheen, Farhat Fatehmohammad, Madeeha Kader Mohideen, Artha Mukesh Pawar, Angel Abraham, Rifaa Saaleha, Mehana Pariyan Thodi, and Dania Usama Shaikh. These students were chosen for their consistency, diligence, and commitment to school ideals.

Kezia Elsa Kurian (XI-C) has been entrusted with the role of Discipline Captain, while Ravi Aryan Kumar (XII-A) will serve as the Academic Secretary, guiding his peers in scholastic excellence.

This team, a blend of creativity, commitment, and charisma, is indeed a veritable gold mine. With diverse talents and a unified goal, the Student Council of 2025–26 is poised to usher in an era of dynamic leadership.

The ceremony culminated in the soulful rendering of the National Anthem, marking the end of a truly memorable event.
