MESIS CELEBRATES REPUBLIC DAY OF INDIA

MES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India on January 26, 2023 at the school Multi-Purpose Hall.

The program started with Quran recitation by Ms. Minha and then welcome speech by Mrs. Pramila Kannan (Principal-Officiating).

The honourable dignitaries for the event were Mr. Hazmal Ismail (General Secretary, MESIS Governing Board), Mr. Hashim N.M (Secretary, MESIS Governing Board), Mr. M.C. Muhamed (Director of Cultural/Co-Curricular Activities, MESIS Governing Board), Mr. Firos K (Director of Transport, MESIS Governing Board) and Mr. Faisal Mayan (Director of Islamic Affairs, MESIS Governing Board).

The flag hoisting was done by Mr Hazmal Ismail. Mr M.C Muhammed mentioned the efforts of Mr. B.R Ambedkar and motivated the students with his words to be more responsible and contribute to the nation.

The cultural performances began with speech by Ms. Andrea Mary (9B), Ms. Sarah Brite (7B) in English and Ms Umaima (6B) in Hindi. A scintillating patriotic dance by Ms Greeshma (9C) and Ms Sreebadra (8B) and the remarkable performance of students of Grade V awoke patriotism in hearts of the audience. The group song was performed by students of Grade IX and keyboard performance by Ms. Blessy Pauline (7B).

The tiny tots of grade I & II presented “Jewels of India”– a fancy dress parade of freedom fighters of India which was followed by “Dress for the Nation-Proud to be an Indian” was indeed a visual treat for the audience, a kaleidoscope of colourful traditional costumes from different states of India which highlighted the harmony and diversity in India and was a visual treat.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Fadwa of Grade 9A. The program was anchored by Ms Shama Nayeem (9A). The teachers who coordinated the event were Mr Nameer and Ms Shahanas in the guidance of Principal.
