The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 was held on the 23rd of May, 2023. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. K. Abdul Karim (President, MESIS Governing body). The Guests of honour were Ms. Layla Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti (Qatar History Supervision Consultant, MOEHE), Dr. NAJEEB K P (Senior Vice President, MESIS Governing Board). Mr. Asharaf Sharafudeen (Director of Finance, MESIS Governing Body) attended the event.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran followed by its translation by Miss NAJA MEHADIN (Grade IX) and the school prayer performed by Master MOHAMMED SHAHEEN SOOPI (Grade X).
The Principal, Ms. Pramila Kannan, welcomed the audience. The distinguished chief guest addressed the audience and inspired the students to become good leaders.
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in co-curricular activities. The newly elected school parliament was also praised by him for being capable of handling responsibility.
The official declaration of the school parliament members was done by Ms. Riya Antony (Returning Officer of Election 2023-24). The elected officials and the house captains were given badges by the honorable chief guest. The Management committee conducted an initiation ceremony for the house prefects. Following that, the chief guest passed on the flag to the head boy and head girl.
Mr. Jibin Jose (P.E.T) handed over the flag to the sports captain.
The presentation of the flag marked the formal transfer of authority to the house captains. The Revered Principal delivered the oath to the Head boy and Head Girl. Administering Oath to other leaders was done by Miss NAYAN THAMBI LIJU, the Head Girl.
Ms. Layla Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti (Qatar History Supervision Consultant, MOEHE) felicitated the students with her words of wisdom.
The following clubs were inaugurated by Ms Layla Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti- Kalam Club, Ramanujan Club, Tagore club, Bhikaji Cama Club, Bahuguna club, Alkazi Club and I love Qatar Club. A worldwide organization, the Scout and Guide Movement, was also inaugurated by the special guest.
Through the Scout and Guide Movement, MESIS aspires to instill values of integrity, responsibility, and respect in our students.
All the dignitaries together released the fourth edition of the newsletter, MESIS Pulse.
The tone was established for the ceremony by the stunning march by every member of the parliament. The head boy gave the acceptance speech after receiving authority.
The former Head Girl Husna Saeed proposed a vote of thanks and the event concluded with the national anthem.
