MESIS celebrated World Environment Day at the school campus with holistic activities to promote awareness among the students to save Earth’s natural resources.
The students and faculty members participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm by wearing green coloured clothes in-line with the theme of the day. Students of various grades brought plants to donate to the school.
The celebrations started with an assembly in the school’s Multi-Purpose Hall by saying the environmental slogan “Only One Earth”. Students of Grades I to III cultivated micro-greens for the occasion and presented the videos of the gradual development of the plants. Students of Grade IV and V presented short speech regarding environmental day in the MPH. Students of Grade VI to VIII presented drama, songs and PowerPoint presentation on the occasion of environment day.
MESIS Principal Dr. Mohammed Haneef conveyed the message of saving our environment from various types of pollutions and laid emphasis on the importance of planting more trees to make our mother Earth full of greenery.
This was followed by saplings plantation by the Principal, students and staff members who took part in the plantation initiative.
The events were coordinated by Green Army in-charge Ms Noorjahan in harmony with Ms Shahina, Ms Fathima Shabna and Ms Shameema. The celebrations came to a conclusion with the closing ceremony where everyone pledged to take initiative of saving the environment and doing their bit to keep a cleaner and greener mother earth.
