On 22nd April 2024, MESIS celebrated World Earth Day with enthusiasm and commitment, aligning with the global call to action for environmental stewardship. Students, teachers, and staff came together to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices, showcasing our dedication to preserving the planet for future generations. Earth day celebration activities were conducted among the students of Grade 1-9 and Grade 11 in the school Campus. A special assembly was conducted on account of The Earth day. A Speech was delivered by the student of Grade 9
The Earth day group song was sung by the students of Grade 7 and 8.
1.Nature walk, Fancy dress and tree planting initiative :
A tree planting initiative activity was held on the school campus, symbolizing our commitment to combatting deforestation and promoting green spaces. Students of Grade 1 and 2 wore green attire and many students dressed up related to the theme.
2. Best out of Waste: Best out of waste activity was conducted for students of Grade 3 and 4 to encourage students to collect and recycle paper, plastic, and other materials. The initiative aimed to reduce waste and promote recycling as a sustainable habit.
3. Essay writing:
Students of Grade 5 and 6 enthusiastically participated in the Essay writing activity on the topic- The value of sustainable living in preserving our Planet Earth.
4. Poster making / Collage:
Poster making / Collage activities were conducted for Grade 7 and 8 as a team work, where students showcased their creativity through eco-themed artwork.
5. Slogan writing/ Logo designing:
Students of Grade 9 and 11 showcased their love of nature and awareness about the environmental issues through slogan writing and logo designing activities based on the theme Five Elements of nature.
The Earth Day celebration at MESIS was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of environmental responsibility and activism among students, teachers, and the wider community. Through collaborative efforts and dedication, we reaffirmed our commitment to protecting the planet and creating a sustainable future.
