The Ministry of Interiors, government of Qatar undertook a big initiative to create awareness among students towards the threats of Juvenile Delinquency, its consequences and how to avert it. The session, effectively conducted by First lieutenant, Mohammed Naama and his translator,

Ummer Hudwi  was attended by students of grade 8th and 9th on 10 April 2023,during school hours.

The students were informed that participation of minors in criminal behavior can have serious consequences for both the young offenders and their victims, as well as for the society as a whole. The students were further acquainted about the various kinds of juvenile crime like bullying, morphing photos, harassment using electronic media, cyber-crime etc. They talked about cyber security and ways to protect oneself from falling into such trap by reporting any misconduct or lawlessness to the authorities concerned.

Therefore it is crucial to recognize that lawlessness among children is a societal issue that requires a collaborative effort from families, schools, law enforcement and community to create a safe and positive environment for young people to grow and thrive.

The School principal MESIS, Mrs. Pramila Kannan expressed her gratitude to the team for such early intervention program and said that such initiatives can help to steer young people away from criminal activities.
